Trae Pierce and The T-Stones

with Modern Alibi

A veteran of the stage, Trae has been touring with bands such as Sugarfoot’s Ohio Players, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Dr Hook, James Brown and more for over three decades. In addition to his time on the road, Trae has produced and recorded with hip-hop, rock and blues icons such as Flo-Rida, Phil Collins, Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, and Emmylou Harris. He has made appearances on national television and movies and earned a shelf full of awards including four Grammys, three Doves, and a NAACP Image Award, and yet somehow this virtuoso bassist has managed to fly under the radar. That is about to change. Trae’s solo debut is a bass-driven masterpiece of funk, blues, and rock, featuring soulful hooks, powerful riffs, and the talk-box bass made famous by Trae himself.

Modern Alibi

Modern Alibi is an alternative rock band from Charlotte, NC, founded by Holden Scott, an up-and-coming musician and songwriter. The band’s high energy shows have landed them numerous shows at some of the most popular bars and venues in Charlotte. They are quickly making a name for themselves in North Carolina where they have been playing to sold-out crowds in Charlotte and in surrounding areas. The official lineup includes Holden Scott (founder, guitarist and lead singer), Sloane Letourneau (lead guitarist), Josh King (bassist), and Christian Sturt (drummer).

Holden has created a unique and energetic sound for the band with his original music. The four-piece indie rock band delivers a heavy vibe tempered by grooving bass lines, modern drumbeats mixed with vintage guitar tones, and topped off with a uniquely rich and rhythmic vocal tone. The band’s sound has been described by many as a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and twenty one pilots.

The high energy band has also been gaining popularity on social media. The Modern Alibi Instagram site has been catching the eyes of many new followers as well as popular artists from the band’s recent Reels content where they put their stamp on popular cover songs. Most recently, Mike Posner gave them kudos by reposting their rendition of his song “Cooler than Me” on his Instagram page. Another favorite of Modern Alibi, IDK How, has commented with its approval of the band’s versions of two of IDK How’s popular songs. The band’s great chemistry, charisma, high energy, and musical talent which comes across in live performance as well as its social media content is driving this growing popularity.
